Occultist is definitely who you want in Rank 4 no matter what given he can hit rank 3, he does bonus damage against Eldritch, can heal, can mark if you want to do a party with mark synergy, and has a debuff to shave PROT off of the Shambler. You should be focusing almost all of your attacks on the Shambler in order to kill him as fast as possible and managing his summons only as needed. Shambler is a size 2 monster and is almost always in the back row since he constantly summons those annoying minions.
